Reyad Sawafta, Ph.D.

Dr. Sawafta is a co-founder  and the chief executive officer of PhazeTek Corporation. Dr. Sawafta is also the president and chief executive officer of QuarTek Corporation, a privately-held nanotechnology company that he founded in 2004. Prior to founding QuarTek Corporation, he held various positions of increasing responsibility in academia and private industry. Dr. Sawafta has served on numerous national and international advisory committees and boards. His expertise includes nuclear physics, high speed technology, magnetic applications and designs, biotechnology and nanotechnology. Dr. Sawafta obtained his Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics from the University of Alberta, Canada in 1986. Dr. Sawafta is an inventor on numerous patents and patent applications; he has also authored more than 150 scientific papers and has presented more than 50 invited talks worldwide.

Richard Czerw, Ph.D.

Dr. Czerw is a co-founder and chief technical officer of PhazeTek Corporation. He also currently serves as president and chief executive officer of NanoTechLabs, Inc. (NTL), a North Carolina nanomaterials company that he founded in 2004. NTL produces organic and inorganic nanomaterials used in the defense and biotech industries.  Dr.  Czerw was previously employed as a research scientist at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC and as the engineering manager for Athens Corp., a semiconductor equipment manufacturer in Oceanside, CA. He served in the U.S. Navy for eight years as a reactor operator on fast attack submarines. Dr. Czerw earned his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Wake Forest University, and a B.S. degree in Physics from Clemson University.

Mr. Dixon R. Johnston

Mr. Johnston is the Chief Operating Officer of PhazeTek Corporation. Previously he held various positions of increasing responsibility in various corporations including the president of Alba-Waldensian and No Nonsense, he had also held senior positions with Procter & Gamble and Clorox. Mr. Johnston holds a BS in Economics from Northwestern University and MBA in Finance from the University of California at Berkeley.
